Maverick Engineering, Inc. was established in 1993 by Robert L. Kovar, P.E. with a primary focus on the upstream oil & gas industry. MEI’s scope and capabilities became substantially broader in the past five years through acquisitions and growth.

2001: Acquired Yoakum based Matusek Engineering, Inc., a firm specializing in surveying and engineering services for transportation related projects (mainly TxDOT) since 1983.

2002: Acquired Corpus Christi based Govind & Associates, a firm successfully completing hundreds of civil, structural, marine and surveying projects for public sector private business since 1984.

2002: Acquired Corpus Christi based Indtech, a firm focusing on projects involving upgrades and revamps of existing facilities projects for industrial clients (primarily refining) since 1986.

2005: Opened a Houston office, responding to client’s demand for Houston-based project support services.

In 2006, Maverick Engineering, Inc. was named by ZweigWhite as one of the Top 100 fastest-growing companies in the AEC industry.
