  • Revamp for FCCU Cooler to increase steam production and reliability.

  • Design of a Water Wash Tower unit to remove contaminants from the Coker off-gas stream ahead of the Amine Contractor.
  • Replaced existing degassing drums in AF Alky Unit Degassing Drums - KOH Treaters.
  • Piping design for ADP Regenerator.
  • Handling System for #4 CCR Catalyst.
  • HF Alky Unit Relief Gas Scrubber, Propane Rundown System.
  • Feasibility Study and Project Design Basis (PDB) #5 CCR Hydrogen Reduction Zone.
  • Upgrade for new Scrubber for Unibon unit.
  • Feasibility Study to convert the HDA Unit to TDP.
  • Design to convert the Cumene Unit to Nonene.
  • ISBL engineering design for Nonene Unit Expansion
  • ISBL engineering design for TBA Dehydration Unit
  • ISBL engineering design including interconnecting piping for #4 Platformate Splitter and #2 Reformate Splitter.
  • OSHA 1910 Compliance: Walk-downs and updating Piping and Instrument Diagrams.
  • Design for BTX Compressor Revamp, including installation of a 9000 HP motor, new gear box, Bentley-Nevada vibration monitoring system, and anti-surge system controls.
  • Design of foundations, off site piping and tie-ins for a cryogenic fractionation unit.

CRUDE UNIT PROJECTS

  • ISBL and OSBL engineering design for upgrade to 100M BPD of crude ranging from 22° to 33° API. Hydraulic review and modification work was done on twenty-one pump loops. Deep cut technology vacuum condensers and added new hot coker feed lines.
  • Various engineering design projects for offsites, utilities and instrumentation upgrades.

COKER PROJECTS

  • Feasibility study to revamp an 18,000 BPD Delayed Coker, included Norm Lieberman, Process Improvement Engineering.
  • HAZOP review for grass-roots 50,000 BPD Delayed Coker Unit.
  • Engineering design for a 40,000,000 SCFD Coker gas plant.
  • Mechanical design on a 70,000 BPD four drum Delayed Coker.

FLARE SYSTEM PROJECTS

  • Detail design for flare modifications with new 20” diameter flare line.
  • Planned and designed a closed flare system with division into hot and cold service.
  • Provided PMB Relief System Modifications
  • Various Flare Reduction Projects for Plants.

VAPOR RECOVERY PROJECTS

  • Design for 34,000 BPH vapor control system for two docks. The system is an enrichment gas type provided by Callidus Technologies. Dock expansion, hose handling cranes, motor control center, and emergency shutdown modification are included in the scope of work.
  • Mechanical design for the 3000 BPH marine vapor emission control system offsites. The vapor recovery system was for two docks. The system is an enrichment gas type provided by IT McGill Pollution Control Systems. This work included flammability studies.
  • Engineering design for the repair of VOC chiller recovery system unit and offsites. Floating roofs were installed on eight tanks and two floating roofs were repaired, while the control system was modified on the vapor recovery unit.
  • Process and mechanical design to replace VOC Chiller System with 7,000 BPH Callidus Thermal Oxidizer.
  • Design of 30,000 BPH ship loading and unloading vapor recovery system installed at four docks, except for the skids fabricated by John Zink. This Marine Vapor Recovery Unit required a new 2500 KVA substation and motor control center.
  • Design for a Waste Water VOC Recovery System, including thermal oxidizer unit and offsites. Scope included 5 tanks with internal floating roofs with liquid mounted primary seals and secondary seals, and one new tank was installed with an external floating roof.
  • Engineering design to install a vapor recovery system for Reclaimed Oil Tanks meeting environmental regulations.

WASTE WATER TREATING PROJECTS

  • Upgrades for Tank Farm water collection system, Benzene Stripper, Sewer System, API separator and waste water treating systems to meet NESHAP requirements.
  • Revamp to increase capacity from 140 GPM to 250 GPM for Sour Water Stripper.
  • Abandon existing API separator and design for closed sump and VOC recovery.
  • Engineering design for Process Water - Storm Water Segregation, including a new 50M barrel storage tank.
  • Design for a thermal oxidizer unit for Waste Water VOC Recovery System.
